USA (VINnews)-In a recent appearance on CNN, former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty sharply criticized the 2024 Democratic ticket of Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, labeling it as “extremely progressive” and hinting that it might be “too far” left for many Americans.

Pawlenty, a Republican who served as Minnesota’s governor from 2003 to 2011, expressed his concerns about Walz’s political stance, describing him as “the self-declared most progressive governor in the country.” He further noted that Harris, who previously served as a U.S. Senator from California, was ranked as the most liberal senator during her time in the Senate.
The former governor’s remarks reflect a growing narrative among some conservatives that the Harris-Walz ticket could alienate centrist and moderate voters due to its perceived left-wing positions.
“He’s extremely progressive,” Pawlenty said of Walz. “You combine that with Kamala, who was ranked as the most liberal Senator in the U.S. Senate, and you have an extremely progressive—some would say Socialist—ticket that may be a bridge too far for many Americans.”
Pawlenty’s comments come as speculation around the 2024 election intensifies, with both parties gearing up for what is expected to be a highly competitive race. The potential Harris-Walz pairing has garnered attention due to Walz’s rising profile within the Democratic Party and his track record as governor of Minnesota, a state that has become increasingly important in national elections.
Governor Tim Walz, who has consistently embraced progressive policies during his tenure, has not officially confirmed any plans to join the national ticket. However, his alignment with progressive causes has made him a favorite among the party’s left wing. Kamala Harris, currently serving as Vice President, has also remained a central figure in the Biden administration and a potential candidate for the presidency.

The more we call Dems “socialists” the more indy voters turn us off.
No more religious tax breaks no more exempt 501c3 for cultys
I think this is an out of date article. But in any case you can tell a campaign that is in desperate straights by the fact that all it can do is to get surrogates to engage in namecalling. Neither Harris nor Walz is socialist.
