JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In the wake of Public Security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s statement that Jews can worship on Temple Mount (and despite the denial of this statement by the Prime Minister’s office), nearly 3000 people ascended to Temple Mount on Tisha B’Av and for the first time many of them prostrated themselves openly as part of their prayers at the holy site.

The worshipers sang songs of yearning for the Temple and also prostrated in the way which is permitted on Temple Mount. Police did not interfere with the ritual, apparently due to the presence of the minister himself.
Ben-Gvir declared during his ascent that “It is Tisha B’Av on Temple Mount and we have come to commemorate the destruction of the Temple, but we need to say honestly that there is big progress in our governance and sovereignty. Pictures of Jews praying here, and as I said: Our policy is to allow prayer.”
Ben-Gvir’s statement was condemned by the prime minister’s office, which stressed that “The incident on Temple Mount was a diversion from the status quo. Israel’s policy on Temple Mount has not changed, it is what it always was.”
The forum of families of the hostages also criticized Ben-Gvir, charging that he “time after time causes hostage deals to fail. With his words and actions, Ben-Gvir is endangering the hostages and the chances of bringing them home. The abandonment of the hostages which began on Oct. 7th doesn’t stop. There is no governance, pride and victory until the last of the hostages returns home.”

To all the amoratzim: first learn actual halacha, from the actual source, not hearsay of someone allegedly said something, before you start screaming “koreis”. Hint: there are different areas on Har Habais, some of which are mutar to enter.
It’s always beneficial to the Am Yisroel when politicians ignore the words of the gedolim. Very smart. I’m sure it will bring much peace to the people of Israel.
100% wrong.
We listened and millions died in Europe
We listened thru out history but when we were strong and fought we won. Moshe led armies David lead armies and Avraham did as well
Until we put the fear of g-d in them they will continue killing us
Equality should also extend to religious observance to Jews too.
as long as they went to mikva 1st I read it is not a halachic issue
Mamash a chillul Hashem!
Beryonim.
