(VINnews) — Fox News has deleted a story, based on a source within the Iranian regime, claiming the U.S. tipped off Iran about Mossad agents operating in Iran.

The now debunked “bombshell” report came from the Kuwaiti newspaper Al Jarida, which claimed to have spoken with an unnamed source in Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

According to the report, which was also picked up by other outlets: “The Biden administration leaked the names of 10 Mossad agents operating in Iran to Tehran as part of a “‘good faith’ initiative in response to Israel’s strikes, which were carried out without American coordination.”
Fox News reported that the delegation allegedly sought to deliver messages to Tehran in order to de-escalate the tensions in the region between Iran and Israel.
In response, the US National Security Council denied reports that a high-ranking American security delegation, mediated by Oman, secretly traveled to Tehran to share information in an effort to appease Iran.
“This is categorically false,” a US National Security Council spokesperson told The Jerusalem Post.
Senator Ted Cruz replied to the report on X, writing: “I pray this is not true.If Joe Biden & Kamala Harris actually gave the Ayatollah the names of undercover Mossad agents in Iran…it would be a level of betrayal of Israel (and America) difficult to fathom”

Several high-profile X users decried the report immediately.
Journalist Yashar Ali posted: “This Jerusalem Post story—which notably does not have a reporter’s byline—relies on “an unnamed source in Iran’s Supreme National Security Council” as told to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al Jarida.
It is so absurd and irresponsible to publish this nonsense, especially given the sourcing and where it’s been picked up from. Of course, it’s spreading like wildfire.”

“There’s a report from Al-Jarida making the rounds with a story about a secret trip by U.S. officials to Iran that I do not believe,” wrote Jason Brodsky, policy director at United Against Nuclear Iran. “I think the Iranian sourcing for the report is disinformation aimed to increase polarization in the U.S. as well as fissures between Israel and the U.S.”

According to the report, this delegation was sent to convey to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei that the Biden-Harris administration was “kept in the dark” by Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the assassinations of Hamas’s Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah’s Fuad Shukr. Israel took responsibility for the assassination of Shukr but has yet to comment on the death of Haniyeh in Tehran.
Why would Israel tell US the names of the agents? That’s not a standard procedure. I understand to say about the actions but no need to name the agents. Unless US found out the names themselves because of smuggling through the border, fake passports and so on.
I have no problem believing that this administration , Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, are responsible for this betrayal. They have enriched the Ayatollahs with billions of dollars in cash, who in turn outfitted Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houtis to destroy Israel and kill the Jewish people. Israel is fighting a war for survival on all fronts and Biden and Harris are withholding supplies and weapons. They want Israel, an ally, to lose this war of survival. Harris and Biden want to control Israel, which will never happen. They want a 2 state solution, Israelis to live next door to those who are committed to annihilate them. It will never happen. They want a deal to end the war because an election is around the corner. Yes, I believe Biden and Harris would betray Israel in a heartbeat. I know Israel’s leaders are much smarter than Biden and Harris and hope they do not trust these two who support the Hamasniks.
I wouldn’t put it past Biden and Harris to betray Israel again. Their middle name is appeasement.
So does it mean it’s not true? Not so sure , it’s bad enough that things like this can even be said , that tells you something about the current American regime

Probably false the United States probably does not know the Mossad agent’s names. Israel does not trust the United States and would not have given the names there’s no way that the United States can get ten names on one bombing

What’s the strategy here? I tried googling and got no answer. Why does Israel or Hamas sometimes take responsibility like Israel taking responsibility for Fuad Shukr and sometimes not taking responsibility like Haniyeh. If you are bold enough to do it, why not take responsibility?? Any ideas?
