Harris expressed her deep sympathy to Goldberg-Polin’s parents, Jon and Rachel, emphasizing that the safety of American citizens is her top priority. She affirmed the unwavering commitment of both herself and President Biden to securing the freedom of all Americans and others held hostage in Gaza.
Describing Hamas as a “vicious terrorist organization,” Harris condemned its actions, highlighting the group’s responsibility for the massacre of 1,200 people, acts of sexual violence, the taking of hostages, and these recent murders. She called on the global community to join in denouncing Hamas’s “horrifying depravity.”

Eradicating Hamas means NOT pushing a ludicrously lopsided ceasefire which forces Israel into submission. It means giving the Israeli military both the tools and the latitude to make decisions that will provide them with victory over evil and barbarism. And it means not insulting the Israeli PM or backstabbing him in your post-meeting press conference.
