Miami Beach Police Officer Fired After Ignoring Hit-and-Run Scene, Failing to Assist Injured Victim

    MIAMI – A Miami Beach police officer was fired after a tragic hit-and-run incident, where a mother lost her life while riding her bicycle. The officer, identified as Edward Cavalie, was captured on surveillance footage driving a police SUV near the scene. Despite bystanders’ efforts to flag him down for assistance, the video shows Cavalie turning away from the scene and not providing aid to the injured woman.

    Following an internal investigation, Miami Beach Police Chief Wayne Jones announced Cavalie’s immediate termination. Chief Jones stressed that Cavalie’s actions were not representative of the professionalism and dedication of the Miami Beach Police Department. The department has expressed its condolences to the victim’s family as the investigation continues.

    What do you think a shul hired rent-a-cop would do if a real attack took place chalila?! Are you sure he won’t take a lunch break? Our community has to stop outsourcing our security needs.

    Lowlife idiot drek hits an innocent pedestrian and just shrugs it off and drives off because “he doesn’t want to go back to jail”. Why would he think that he would automatically go to jail for mistakenly striking someone that was riding in the street. It was an accident. You didn’t run a red light or stop sign. Now you’re definitely going to jail. No brains!
