2-Year-Old Girl Succumbed to Injuries After Being Struck by Car in Kaser Village

    MONSEY – 2-year-old girl Henny Weingarten was hit by a car on Monday in Kaser village succumbed to her injuries after being transported to Nyack Hospital, according to Ramapo police.

    Officers were called to Calvert Drive at 3:11 p.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle striking a child. The young girl sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital by Hatzolah Ambulance, authorities said.

    The driver, a 21-year-old from Monsey, was uninjured and stayed at the scene. Police say the driver is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.

    BDE. How sad. Can’t even imagine what the family is going through, including the driver. Bli ayin harah, It’s nothing short of a miracle that tragedies like this don’t happen more often B.H. with so many children around and so many cars pulling in and out of tight spaces.
