JD Vance Proves a Key Asset for Trump Campaign Through Media Appearances, While Harris Camp Stays Silent

22

USA (VINnews)-Ohio Senator JD Vance has emerged as a powerful media surrogate for Donald Trump, using high-profile appearances to deflect criticism and bolster Trump’s policies. While Kamala Harris has remained largely out of the spotlight, Vance has taken on a proactive role in defending Trump’s platform and countering media narratives. Here are three notable examples of how Vance has proven his value in recent interviews:

1. Deflecting Media Criticism on Trump’s Comments About Harris

In an interview with ABC’s Jon Karl, Vance was confronted with questions about Trump’s past comments regarding Kamala Harris, in an apparent attempt to bait him into a defensive position. Karl referenced Trump’s history of “mean words” about Harris, but Vance deftly turned the conversation toward Harris’s political platform instead of dwelling on the personal attacks.

“She repeats these ridiculous platitudes where if you actually think about what she said, you realize that it doesn’t make any sense,” Vance remarked, highlighting what he characterized as Harris’s lack of substance. This quick pivot allowed Vance to shift the focus from Trump’s rhetoric to Harris’s perceived policy weaknesses, diffusing the tension and bringing the conversation back to the issues.

2. Shifting the Narrative on Migrant Issues in Springfield

During a segment with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, Vance was questioned about the controversial story surrounding Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio, where reports circulated that some had resorted to eating animals in local parks. Rather than taking the bait on this sensationalist angle, Vance flipped the narrative onto the media itself, criticizing it for failing to investigate the broader implications of the migrant crisis on local communities like Springfield.

“The media loves to focus on these individual stories, but they’re not asking the bigger question: what is the overall impact of this unchecked migration on the people of Springfield?” Vance stated, steering the conversation towards the broader economic and social effects of immigration policy. This move demonstrated Vance’s ability to redirect tough questions while maintaining focus on Trump’s central talking points about border security and immigration reform.

3. Calling Out Big Tech on Trump’s Economic Proposals

When CNBC questioned Vance about Trump’s economic and tariff policies, including his plans to impose tariffs on companies that rely on foreign labor, Vance took the opportunity to launch a scathing critique of major corporations. Specifically, he called out Apple for its reliance on Chinese labor, framing Trump’s proposals as a necessary step to bring jobs back to the U.S.

“If companies want access to American markets, they need to use American workers,” Vance said bluntly. He went on to condemn the use of “slave labor” in foreign supply chains, positioning himself and the Trump campaign as champions of American workers. Vance’s firm stance on this issue aligns with Trump’s populist economic platform, making him a strong voice for these policies on the national stage.

Conclusion: A Stark Contrast to the Harris Campaign

While Vance has become a key player in articulating Trump’s vision and defending his policies, Kamala Harris’s campaign has taken a far more subdued approach. By largely avoiding high-profile media appearances, Harris has left the field open for surrogates like Vance to dominate the conversation and frame the election narrative. With the election approaching, this dynamic could play a significant role in shaping voter perceptions as the Trump campaign continues to leverage Vance’s media skills to their advantage.

Finally they get it.
STRATEGY:
Put Vance up on the public stage. He makes more sense, and is more politically correct to convince the undecided voter.
All Trump has to say is; what is Harris’ record for the past 3 years on ALL important issues that are so critical to voters and he comes out ahead of the game.

“With the election approaching, this dynamic could play a significant role in shaping voter perceptions as the Trump campaign continues to leverage Vance’s media skills to their advantage.” I would agree but we haven’t seen any major shifts in polling numbers despite all of his efforts….

Harris challenges Trump to a second debate!
Of course he won’t go near that, having self-destructed in front of 65 million viewers. His people still scrambling to overcome his huge fail, exposing his lies, mysogeny and pro-Russia policies. Her jump in all polls is evident.

JD Vonce negatives remain in the stratosphere with the American public. He has helped Women and Indy voters run to Harris-Walz. And now herr Trump calling for a Govt Shutdown after Sept 30. That will really help them. Had any cats and dogs lately?
