Nassau County Police Department spokesperson reassured the public that the initial concerns were unfounded. They clarified that there had been a “suspicious occurrence” on Wednesday, but no explosive device was actually found.

Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryde explained that a person who was reportedly involved in bomb detection training near the rally site mistakenly claimed that explosives had been located. This individual is now being questioned by the authorities.

This incident comes shortly after a separate security scare involving a person who was apprehended for allegedly stalking the former president with a rifle at his Palm Beach golf club.

Both local police and the Secret Service are maintaining heightened vigilance as the rally approaches, ensuring the safety of all attendees.
