(VINnews) — As the new academic semester begins, the persistence of anti-Semitism and hate on college campuses remains a grave concern. In response, the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce Bipartisan leadership team from both the East and West Coast gathered last week to recognize and commend New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik of the U.S. Education and the Workforce Committee for her unwavering stand against anti-Semitism on college campuses.

The event, which brought together prominent figures from the Chamber of Commerce including West Coast Chair, R. Pini Dunner, and the Chamber’s founder, Duvi Honig, highlighted the urgent need for robust leadership to combat the rise of anti-Semitism in educational institutions. During the event, Mr. Dunner emphasized the critical issue at hand, stating, “There is no room for bad leadership and anti-Semitism on college campuses. University presidents must not turn a blind eye or support those who attack Jewish students.”

Congresswoman Stefanik has been at the forefront of this battle, persistently questioning university presidents on their inadequate measures to protect Jewish students. Her efforts have resulted in significant resignations from the heads of several Ivy League and other prestigious universities across the nation. Stefanik’s dedication ensures a safer and more inclusive environment for all students and serves as an example of the leadership needed to address this pervasive issue.

The event, co-hosted by the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce, also saw the participation of West Coast Congresswoman Young Kim and other members of the U.S. Congress. This gathering signifies a united front in the fight against anti-Semitism and the enhancement of student safety.

Addressing Congresswoman Stefanik, Duvi Honig, founder and CEO of the Wall Street-based Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce, stated, “We stand here today, united from our East and West Coast leadership, to acknowledge, recognize, and express our gratitude for your leadership. Your efforts in advocating for Jewish student safety and combating university corruption are vital in protecting the freedoms of democracy in our schools and universities nationwide.”

The event underscored the importance of continued vigilance and proactive measures against anti-Semitism, ensuring that educational environments remain safe and inclusive for all students.
