JERUSALEM (VINnews) — During the course of Shabbat, Israelis were delighted to find out that Hassan Nasrallah, Israel’s arch enemy from the north, had been eliminated in Friday’s targeted attack. The jubilation over Nasrallah’s demise was palpable and was felt all over the country.

Television anchor Yinon Magal and political analyst Amit Segal celebrated after Shabbat by making a Lechaim and saying Shehecheyanu, while the Victory supermarket chain placed candies and cakes for its customers to celebrate the elimination.

Similarly, Syrian anti-government elements who had suffered a lot at the hands of Hezbollah (which supported the Assad government during the civil war) celebrated his demise in their own style.
