“A short while ago, missiles were launched from Iran towards the State of Israel,” the IDF stated. “You are instructed to remain alert and precisely follow the Home Front Command’s instructions.”

The IDF wrote on X/Twitter that “all Israeli civilians” are sheltering from the attack.

Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, the IDF spokesman, asked Israelis to remain vigilant.

“The air-defense system is fully operational, detecting and intercepting threats wherever necessary, even at this moment,” he said. “However, the defense is not hermetic.”

The extent of the attack is not yet known. Hebrew-language media reports that Iran has fired more than 100 missiles.

In response, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stated that he had activated 13,000 emergency response teams ready to be deployed throughout Israel.

Eli Bin, the CEO of Magen David Adom, confirmed a direct strike on a building located on George Wise Street in northern Tel Aviv. He reported that three individuals sustained injuries from falls in the city.

A separate attack was also reported in Tel Sheva, according to Maariv, with additional rocket impacts noted in various areas, including Dimona, Nabatim, Hora, Hod Hasharon, Beer Sheva, and Rishon Lezion. Video footage aired by KAN captured interceptor and missile fragments falling over the Dead Sea.

Ben Gurion Airport has suspended all landings and takeoffs, while trains were halted as planes already in the air were redirected. Both Jordan and Iraq have closed their airspace in response to the situation.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claimed that the assault was retaliation for the assassination of Nasrallah and warned that any response from Israel would provoke a significant counterattack
