JERUSALEM (VINnews) — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the deaths of seven soldiers during fighting in southern Lebanon today. The fallen soldiers are:

Cpt. Harel Etinger, 23, team commander in the Egoz Commando Unit, from Eli.
Cpt. Itai Ariel Giat, 23, of the Yahalom Combat Engineering Unit, from Shoham.
Sgt. First Class Noam Barzilay, 22, of the Egoz Commando Unit, from Kohav Yair.
Sgt. First Class Or Mantzur, 21, of the Egoz Commando Unit, from Beit Aryeh.
Sgt. First Class Nazar Itkin, 21, of the Egoz Commando Unit, from Kiryat Atta.
Staff Sgt. Almken Terefe, 21, of the Golani Brigade’s reconnaissance unit, from Jerusalem.
Staff Sgt. Ido Broyer, 21, of the Golani Brigade’s reconnaissance unit, from Nes Tziona.
The Egoz Commandos were killed during a gun battle with Hezbollah operatives in a village in southern Lebanon. Earlier, the IDF had announced the death of Cpt. Eitan Itzhak Oster in the same incident. Additionally, another officer and four soldiers were seriously wounded.

In a separate incident, the two soldiers from the Golani reconnaissance unit were killed, and another soldier was seriously wounded. A combat medic from the Golani Brigade’s 51st Battalion was also seriously injured in a third incident.

In total, eight soldiers have lost their lives during ground operations in Lebanon today.

It’s very simple. Israel should announce that EVERYONE south of the Litani River should immediately leave. Then, after the 72 hours expire, Israel should declare it a closed Military zone & detonate a few neutron bombs that will destroy South Lebanon with minimal radiation.
