When the victim came out of his vehicle, the attacker viciously assaulted him. Shmirah volunteers quickly responded and detained the suspect, who was arrested by the NYPD and charged with assault and reckless driving.
The perpetrator falsely claimed that he was attacked by the victim, despite evidence that he committed the attack.
One local outlet called it a “road rage” incident, and at this time, it is not clear if this was a hate crime.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to co-exist and live peacefully with violent predators. There has been no improvement in living conditions in Crown Heights since the pogrom of 1991, and in fact, it has become even worse, as assaults and attacks against frum Jews in Crown Heights have continued. When Rabbi Meir Kahane (z’l), headed the JDL in the early 1970’s, he had a plan called Operation Haganah. He planned to to move all Jews, who wished to leave, out of high crime areas in Brooklyn, into safer areas. I sincerely regret that never occurred.
Let me see I’m not trying to be prophet here.. but anti-Semitism is at its highest point.. The accident happened in Crown Heights where in the 90s it had its own pogrom. The people of the community have despised Jews for decades… No need to reveal the race because we all know who lives there. In my humble opinion this was road rage that then turned into a hate crime after the crash.
It’s the Jews fault
The lack of parking spaces is causing tremendous anger, rage, & anxiety.
