NEW YORK CITY (VINnews)-CNBC’s Squawk Box, host Andrew Ross Sorkin and Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) sparred over the media’s portrayal of former President Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden. The rally, which drew widespread attention for controversial remarks made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, became a flashpoint in the conversation as Donalds accused the media of distorting the event’s true message.

Hinchcliffe, who took the stage as part of the rally’s opening acts, made inflammatory jokes targeting Puerto Rico, calling it a “floating pile of garbage,” while also making offensive remarks about Black people and Israel. His performance ignited a backlash, prompting the Trump campaign to issue a statement distancing itself from the comedian’s views. However, the damage had been done, and several media outlets branded the rally as a “racist” event.

When Trump finally addressed the crowd, his speech focused on immigration, a key issue in his 2024 campaign. Trump outlined a stricter deportation policy, referring to Election Day as a “liberation day” from immigrant “occupation.” He also repeated his controversial assertion that Democrats are the “enemy from within,” further escalating tensions around his rhetoric.

During his appearance on Squawk Box, Donalds defended the rally, describing it as “great” and accusing the media of stoking fear by focusing on inflammatory headlines. As Sorkin and his co-hosts highlighted articles that condemned the event as racist, Donalds countered, claiming that the coverage was meant to “fearmonger” rather than engage with the rally’s “substance” and “facts.” He suggested that the media was intentionally overlooking the broader policy discussions presented at the event.

The lying media propagandists for the democratic party have been calling The Trump campaign rally a nazi rally before it even started, so Sorkin’s can shove his outrage where the sun dont shine.

This is not a popularity contest. I’m not voting for the candidate that is friendlier or cackles better. I am voting for a candidate that will:
a) improve the economy (get gas prices down to where they should be!)
b) make our streets safe again
c) Close the border to Illegal Aliens
d) Deport ALL the illegal aliens that entered for the last 4 years
e) Back Israel and get rid of Hamas and Hezbollah (Iran) once and for all
