(Op-Ed / Duvi Honig) — Often, world events which appear to be unrelated, actually are very intertwined. What happens in one region can have a huge, though not always obvious, ripple effect.

In the complex tapestry of international geopolitics, actions often have ripple effects that transcend borders, impacting global players in unexpected ways. One recent development that deserves attention is Israel’s strategic targeting of Iranian facilities, which, while seemingly a direct move against its regional adversary, also inadvertently dealt a significant blow to Russia’s capabilities. Ukraine, standing on the frontline against Russian aggression, finds itself unexpectedly benefiting from Israel’s deft maneuvering.

Israel’s Precision Strike: More Than Meets the Eye

Russia’s increasing reliance on Iranian missiles and drones marked a troubling escalation in the balance of power. Historically, Russia, with its vast military-industrial complex, projected itself as a superpower capable of self-reliance. However, the recent decisions and strategic alliances paint a different picture—a Russia dependent on Iranian military technology. The reliance highlighted embarrassing vulnerabilities within Russia’s own military capabilities.

Israel’s surgical dismantling of Iranian facilities, which played a crucial role in manufacturing these missiles and drones, was a calculated act of precision. On the surface, it served to derail Iran’s direct threats against Israel. However, the undercurrents of this act sent a powerful message to the Kremlin. Without engaging in direct confrontation with Russia, Israel managed to expose the limitations of Moscow’s promises to protect Iran and underline its reliance on unreliable partners.

A Blow to Russia’s Regional Posturing

By targeting and degrading Iran’s capabilities, Israel indirectly weakened Russia’s regional posture. Iran’s promises to shield itself and counter Israel’s defenses now appear jarringly hollow, and Russia’s role as a protector of Iran is consequently undermined. This not only embarrasses Tehran but also challenges Moscow’s competency and credibility in the eyes of its allies. The sophistication and accuracy of Israel’s operation contrast sharply against the overstated defenses of both Iranian and Russian technological prowess.

Implications for Ukraine

For Ukraine, the indirect benefits of this Israeli operation are clear and substantial. With Iran temporarily incapacitated from supplying its military arsenal, Russia faces a supply chain interruption. This disruption constrains Russian offensive capabilities against Ukraine, offering much-needed respite and strategic advantage to the Ukrainian forces.

Furthermore, the incident serves as a strategic lesson for Ukraine and its allies: the vulnerabilities of adversarial complexes can often be exploited without direct military confrontation. By observing Israel’s adept handling, Ukraine may find inspiration in leveraging its own diplomatic and strategic alliances to pressurize adversaries.

The Broader Geopolitical Picture

Turkey, another key regional player, faces its own moment of reflection. By purchasing Russian anti-aircraft weaponry, Ankara gambled on a military alignment that has now been exposed as potentially precarious. The fallout from Israel’s actions showcases the reliability—or lack thereof—of Russian military promises, causing nations like Turkey to reconsider their strategic partnerships.

while the direct beneficiaries of Israel’s strategic dismantling of Iranian facilities are regional allies, Ukraine should not overlook the indirect advantages it gained while Israel humiliated Russia and its proxy’s . Israel’s actions epitomize how careful strategic targeting can yield wider geopolitical gains, weakening adversaries’ capabilities without the need for direct warfare. By doing so, Israel inadvertently aligned its actions with the interests of Ukraine, illustrating the networked nature of modern-day global geopolitics and hitting Russia in a way they can’t retaliate but hide themselves and their faces in deep embarrassment.

Hey Duvi, seems like we were at the same yeshiva coffee room where this in-depth analysis was laid out. Next thing we know you’ll be the featured guest on Tom Nash’s podcast who excels at someone with no knowledge but for what is marketed to the public as ‘news’ spinning it for in-depth analysis that doesn’t stand up to the test of time or real events on the ground. Take the Pentagon Papers as exemplifying this point.

Israel should be thanking Ukraine for weakening Russia, which is the main enabler of Iran. But the MAGA crowd openly supports Russia in its war against Ukraine. Supporting Russia is supporting Iran. But clueless Jews don’t understand that.
