Ben Shapiro: ‘The Turning Point Of The Election- Trump’s Prayer At Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Tomb’

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Conservative political pundit Ben Shapiro said on Daily Wire that in his opinion, the turning point of the election in Donald Trump’s favor was after he visited the tomb of the Lubavitcher Rebbe on October 7th, less than a month before his astonishing victory, to pray there and to commemorate the Israelis who fell on that day the year before.

Shapiro may have a point. As of Oct. 6th, Kamala Harris was still leading Trump by 2.6 points and polls in the swing states gave her the edge in four of the key swing states, but within a week pollsters were already describing the election as a “dead heat” between the candidates and during the final weeks Trump succeeded in rousing Republican voters in states where he had previously been lagging behind.

Trump expressed sympathy for a mispallel in West Rogers Park (Chicago) when he was recently shot walking to shul on Shabbos by an illegal immigrant shouting Allahu Akhbar. It was not on our VP’s radar screen. It was then that I knew for sure who should be my President and who should be making speeches from the private sector.

It worked when his daughter prayed there before the 2016 election, seems that there’s something to this!

So, a tefilah at kivrei tzaddikim helps. I think we all knew that. Ben, tell us something we didn’t know!

There’ nop question – though – that the Rebbe z”l would encourage and root for Trump.

Former Congressman Lee Zeldin, who ran for governor of New York State in the last gubernatorial election there, went to the grave of the last Rebbeh of the Chabad Lubavitch before it, but still lost his race.

All the “frum” kofrim are coming out of the closet to announce that tefilah doesn’t work, Hashem doesn’t hear it, kivrei tzaddikim is a scam (as Kalev davening at Chevron), and whatever is supposed to happen, must happen, so stop wasting time saying tehilim, enough with saying a mi shebeirach, and genug kvetching to Hashem. There never was such a collection of open kofrim in one place since the days of the meraglim. Frum kofrim are so cool.

This is much ado about nothing. Yes the polls indicated that the race was close but the gambling sites all had Trump way ahead as soon as Biden dropped out. So the results were never in doubt. Shapiro was probably joking.

The jockey for American Pharoah came to the Ohel before the Belmont Stakes to get a blessing from the Rebbe and he won. The Chabad Rabbi of a shul in my neighborhood announced that the horse won because of the Rebbe’s brocho. This Rabbi didn’t even know there’s such a thing as a Triple Crown in racing. In fact American Pharoah was the overwhelming favorite having easily won the first two legs. And as for that Rabbi, he’s a horse’s you know what.

You really think Trump “prayed” at the kever? Or was it a good photo op?
I recently heard a clip of some silly Rabbi being asked why he thinks Trump will win, and he answered that תשפ״ה is gematria Donald Trump. I think Ben Shapiro’s cute remark has about as much credibility as that screwball Rabbi’s…
