“I am pleased to announce that the former ICE Director, and stalwart on Border Control, Tom Homan, will be joining the Trump Administration, in charge of our Nation’s Borders (“The Border Czar”), including, but not limited to, the Southern Border, the Northern Border, all Maritime, and Aviation Security,” Trump said in his statement.
The former president emphasized Homan’s qualifications, calling him the ideal candidate for managing and securing the nation’s borders, which has been a central theme of Trump’s political platform.
“I’ve known Tom for a long time, and there is nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders. Likewise, Tom Homan will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin,” Trump continued, adding, “Congratulations to Tom. I have no doubt he will do a fantastic, and long awaited for, job.”
Homan, who served as ICE Director during Trump’s first term, has been a vocal advocate for stricter immigration policies and enforcement. His hardline stance has earned him both supporters and critics. Notably, he has had several high-profile exchanges with lawmakers, including a public confrontation with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) during a Congressional hearing. In that exchange, Ocasio-Cortez sharply criticized ICE policies, particularly family separations at the border, to which Homan firmly defended the agency’s actions under the Trump administration.
Fantastic response. Clear and concise.
This guy’s the real deal. I can already hear bags being packed and wire transfers going to the old (new) country. Ship the freeloaders out!
