What was once considered the “go-to” news agency, providing stories that are ready to print for decades is downsizing–struggling with the reality that some major outlets have stopped buying its content.

The AP has gotten a great deal of flack in recent years over its biased and leftist reporting. It is notoriously anti-Israel and anti-Trump, and reports opinion under the guise of fact.

For example, it typically reports that Trump’s claims are “false”, and refers to terrorist monsters as “militants”.

This year both the Gannett and McClatchy news chains, two very large news companies, controlling around 230 outlets including USA today, said they would no longer purchase news from the AP. Although the outlet also sells its content online directly to readers, much of its business is still conducted with member news outlets who pay a subscription fee for access.

CNN is also experiencing similar issues, reportedly laying off hundreds of staff, including on-air talent, before the end of the year.

“We all know this is a time of transformation in the media sector,” Daisy Veerasingham, the AP’s president and CEO, told staff in a Monday morning memo. “Our customers — both who they are and what they need from us — are changing rapidly. This is why we’ve focused on delivering a digital-first news report. We now need to accelerate on this path.”

The AP, founded in 1846, used to pride itself on being the largest news service in the world, providing news with reporters stationed around the globe.

Good riddens. The AP fills its articles with hate-filled, biased, and leftist views, often non-thinking generated misinformation prompted by radical democrat, socialist and even communist culture.

So ironic, because VIN publishes their articles just about every day. Shame on VIN. I’ve been writing to them about this for years.
