NEW YORK CITY (VINnews) — Jessica Tisch, the newly appointed NYPD police commissioner, a Jew, said at a press conference that she pursues a Torah concept which is discussed in multiple Mishnayos, of ‘Tikkun Olam’, which translates as repairing the world.

In her first press conference, Tisch discussed that concept, and added that she says a Mi Shebeirach prayer for officers wounded in the line of duty, who are fulfilling the concept of Tikkun Olam. The X of Joel Petlin wished Tisch a Mazel Tov and wrote: “May you never have to say that prayer again.”
The new police commissioner of NY City quoted a Mishna and said she makes a “Mi shebairach” – a prayer for speedy recovery – for NYPD officers wounded in the line of duty.

Tisch’s appointment comes at a time of scandal and upheaval in the Adams administration, following the resignation of Edward Caban amid a corruption investigation.
Tisch’s father, James S. Tisch, is president and CEO of Loews Corporation, the conglomerate that owns Loews Hotels and CNA Financial. Her mother, Merryl Tisch, is former chancellor of the state Board of Regents, which supervises education.
Her late grandfather, Laurence Tisch, once led CBS. Her cousins are co-owners of the NFL’s Giants. The family has given millions of dollars to cultural and academic institutions and is the namesake of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Her husband, Daniel Levine, is a venture capitalist. They have two sons.

With all due respect, i must ask, what on earth type of hands on experience does she have in running the complexities of the biggest police agency in the country??? Did she work her way up in any police department? One look at her and it’s laughable. Only in Democrat lala land. She will get no respect from the rank and file to every other PO, and she’ll be laughed out/forced out of her job within 1 year.
