San Francisco, California (VINnews)-In a horrifying case of child abuse, a nanny in the Bay Area, California, was caught on camera shaking, punching, and throwing a 2-day-old baby across the room. The footage was so disturbing that ABC7 had to edit parts of the video before airing it, as the abuse was too graphic for viewers.

The parents of the newborn, who had only recently brought their daughter home from the hospital, said they had carefully interviewed the nanny before hiring her. The woman was reportedly hired based on a reference found through social media. The father expressed his shock, stating, “We all thought we could trust her. Never imagined something like this could happen.”
Concerns were first raised when the parents noticed the nanny exhibiting “aggressive behavior.” This prompted them to terminate her employment, but it wasn’t until they reviewed security camera footage that they realized the extent of the abuse their baby had suffered.
The incident has left the family devastated, and the community outraged. It’s a stark reminder of the risks associated with entrusting the care of vulnerable children to strangers, even those who come with glowing references.
Authorities are investigating the case, but the emotional scars left on the family are likely to last much longer. This incident serves as a cautionary tale for parents to be vigilant, even when hiring childcare providers who appear trustworthy.
I never write comments on VIN, but am so horrified by this article. I never hire a baby nurse and sometimes it’s very rough, tiring and overwhelming without help. My mother was in hospice by the time my second was born so yes, I handled all but one of my newborns without a mother’s help and without a nurse, including twins.
It is very common in our community to hire a baby “nurse” and I can’t understand why it is the norm. They are not nurses by the way!!! I understand there are some extreme situations and there is no other way. If a mothers mental or physical health is at stake then take the risk and hire someone very reputable. But how many people just “need their sleep” and hire a complete stranger with barely any qualifications. Would they be trusted if all the jewelry and cash was left out on the table? Likely not. So how can they be left alone with a baby.
For many people, you will be okay if you sleep less, have macaroni for supper, hire some daytime help (even though it costs more per hour), send the toddler out to daycare, but have your baby safely in your room with you.
how is a 2-day-old baby left with a nanny?
nut cases in USA are growing and glowing and should be stomped out.
Prison isn’t only solution for this witch nanny. Throwing this witch nanny across a room non-stop multiple times every day for the rest of her life, would be a much more appropriate solution.
