Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, a member of the UAE’s Federal Supreme Council, visited the family in Kfar Chabad. He reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to “openness and peace” and promised that Rabbi Kogan’s contributions would not be forgotten.
The exact details of Kogan’s death have not been disclosed, and it remains uncertain whether Emirati authorities have determined a motive or clarified the whereabouts of the three arrested suspects.
Israeli officials believe the attack was motivated by antisemitism, stating that Kogan was targeted for being Jewish. Israeli authorities are actively assisting in the investigation.
Rabbi Kogan, who had lived in the UAE for several years, was deeply involved in outreach efforts within the country’s Jewish community. He was reported missing on Thursday, and his body was found on Sunday.
