MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Shmuley Boteach has announced plans to file a $100 million lawsuit against the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, alleging the hotel failed to prevent a verbal assault that he claims was driven by antisemitism.

“We intend to file a $100 million lawsuit against the Fontainebleau for what we see as bigotry, racism, and antisemitism,” Boteach declared on Monday, WSVN Reports.
The lawsuit announcement follows an incident Sunday night in the hotel lobby, where Boteach says he was targeted with threatening and offensive language. He recorded the confrontation on his cellphone, describing it as a stark example of rising antisemitic sentiment.
In the video, a man is heard making inflammatory remarks such as, “You like to kill babies…you know that,” and threatening, “I will spit on your face right now. Get out of the lobby right now.” The individual allegedly called Boteach a “baby killer” and used profanity, shouting, “Free Palestine.”
Boteach voiced his concern for public safety after the confrontation, stating, “If I, as a Jew, am not safe in this hotel, then no one is.”
In response, the Fontainebleau condemned the incident, issuing a statement denouncing the language used and clarifying that it does not reflect the hotel’s values.
“A verbal altercation occurred over the weekend between two individuals in our lobby. One of the individuals used appalling language, which we find deeply disturbing and unacceptable. Our security team worked swiftly to de-escalate the situation to prevent it from becoming physical. After the individuals voluntarily left, we contacted the Miami Beach Police Department. We sincerely apologize to those affected by this incident, which in no way represents our company’s views.”
Boteach’s announcement of legal action comes as concerns about antisemitism continue to grow, with this incident serving as what he describes as a “troubling reminder” of the challenges Jewish communities face.

You can’t sue the hotel. It’s not like some guy who works for them acted rude. Otherwise you can go sue every college that allows protesters to harrass Jews. This ok away it is not going anywhere accept to VIN news.
