I was waiting for the knee jerk anti-Zionist comments as soon as I saw the headline. You don’t have to sing Hatikva. But at many weddings, if you listen carefully, a lot of the popular music is distinctly not Jewish. Not in beat, rhythm or percussion. But the fact that it’s played for Ana”sh makes it legit… So too Hatikva. Its a beautiful, moving melody. And yes, we are yearning for our return as a nation free to be Oivdei H-shem. BTW, at many chareidi weddings in Israel this year, Hatikva is on the Playlist. Our lives in EY owe much to the Medina that has facilitated such a great and successful surge in Torah learning.

When they were chosing a National Anthem for the medina “Shir Ha’Malos B’Shuv Hashem” by Ben Zion Shenker was the 2nd place winner
But unfortunately it was not chosen because it mentioned “Hashem”

Hatikvah is a song using a melody written by a non-Jew (Smetana) with words that are against the Torah. Why is this Yid singing it and why is VIN posting it.

When they sing the words To be a free nation the Zionist wanted them free of Torah observance. But it’s understandable to sing to politicians songs they think are authentic Jewish as a way to show goodwill. Even satmar and other groups compromise on their ideas if needed to get something for their community. It’s not a problem. We find Jews who dressed as goyim when they dealt with histadlus with governments. It’s in the gemorrah taanis.

IDF, Mossad, and Shin Bet all protect the ungrateful and crazed anti-Zionist Satmarers whose mission at any rate is futile. The Zionist Entity is a reality. Deal with it, like many other hareidim do. Oh, ungrateful ones, Jewish blood is being spilled to protect you too.

Satmar and NK hashkofos vis a vis the State of Israel are a laughingstock of the entirety of the Jewish People. And to little people who fuss around “am hofshi”, are you for real? It means to be free from shibbud goyim, gentile subjugation. However, they did not teach it in Satmar and NK yeshivos and chadorim. One day you will understand the folly of your ways and recognize the Zionist Entity.

Hatikva is kifirah it’s even worse than not Jewish music because with not Jewish music at least you know it’s a problem however with hatikva you can fool yourself in thinking it’s Jewish because it’s in Hebrew, however it’s kfirah it doesn’t mention hashem even ounce in the song the idea of hatikva is that we are a nation like all other nations, that is a problem we are the chosen nation that recived the torah eretz yisroel not midnas yisroel eretz yisroel a land given and promised to Abraham Yitzhak and yaccov and to his descendants it is ours for more than 3 thousand years so no we don’t believe in hatikva rather in ani Mamim bibias hamoshiach our flag is the moshiach flag not the blue and white and our leader is moshiach not hertzel or ben gurion how kidnapped Jewish yeminite children how cut off their peyos

All yeshivos must now teach hatikva to students, following Lemer’s lead.
