The Boeing 757, scheduled to fly from Atlanta to Minneapolis-St. Paul, was preparing for departure when the flight crew detected an engine problem. According to Delta Air Lines, the crew followed proper procedures to halt the takeoff.
A passenger, Curtis James, captured the scene, showing evacuation slides deployed as passengers safely exited the plane onto the snowy tarmac. No injuries were reported.
How are passengers who have mobility problems (i.e. elderly or disabled passengers), supposed to slide down those chutes, without being injured? Even younger passengers have been injured going down those chutes (i.e. The “Gimli Glider” in Canada, in 1983).
DEI to blame?
