WASHINGTON – During a congressional hearing today, Senator Tom Cotton posed a direct question to Pete Hegseth, asking if he supported Israel’s military actions in Gaza. Hegseth, a prominent conservative commentator and former military veteran, gave a forceful response, saying, “I support Israel destroying and killing every last member of Hamas.”

His statement came in the context of ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza, which have escalated following Hamas attacks on Israeli civilians. Hegseth’s comments reflect the intense political divide over Israel’s approach to Hamas and its broader military strategy in the region.
Cotton, a staunch ally of Israel, has consistently voiced support for the country’s right to defend itself, while critics of the war have raised concerns about civilian casualties and the humanitarian impact of the ongoing conflict. Hegseth’s remarks echo a larger conservative sentiment supporting aggressive military action against Hamas, despite calls for restraint from some international actors.
The exchange highlights the polarized debate within the U.S. government and public discourse about the role of military force in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Many Non-Jewish Americans are more pro-Israel than the Knesset. What a shame…
Spoken like a soldier who recognizes the enemy!
Amen to his words!
And there mother too.
I think by this statement he lost Shumers vote….
Good for him, good for us, good for the world.
enough of putting up with terrorists. Kill them all, and their supporters.
I’m sure the democrats got up and applauded
Well his boss obviously doesn’t if he would he wouldn’t be pushing a suicidal deal
there’s a time to say things out loud, and a time not to. while i agree with some of what he says, he should have saved it until after he’s confirmed. just answer the question, and don’t give them anything they can glom onto – that’s the smarter way.
He also stands firm on bringing segregation back to US Army, cutting Veterans’benefits, kicking women out of military and persecuting gay soldiers. Next: a loyalty oath to his Xtian god.
