Malky Pogrow, who works in Donor Relations for Mesorah Heritage, posted the following on LinkedIn.
Today we had the honor and privilege of welcoming Amar’e Stoudemire to the Mesorah/Artscroll headquarters.
Amare’s story is unbelievably inspiring, and he continues to inspire tens of thousands of Jews with his weekly shiurim.
We held an exclusive tour in honor of Amare, and presented him with a personalized ArtScroll/Mesorah fully loaded iPad and The Schottenstien Edition leather tehillim!
May he continue to make a Kiddush Hashem & inspire Jews worldwide!
In a video circulating on social media, R’ Gedalia Zlotowitz presented Amare with a leather Tehillim, joking that it is the “biggest one we make.”
He was also presented with an Artscroll iPad that includes the entire Shas, which fits right in the palm of your hand (or at least the palm of Amare’s hand).
I have read his story over and over a number of times, each time I am very impressed.
He got a new name, it’s Yehohafat. Let’s use it
Yeshivishe guy.
I invited him for a Shabbos just now. Let’s see if he accepts! I hope so!
A Bochur went up to him in Yeshiva and asked him “Rabbi Stoudimire, when are the Knicks going to win the title? and Reb Yehoshofat turned to him and said” Teiku, Teiku”
