The three, Romi Gonen (24) Emily Damari (28) and Doron Steinbrecher (30) were first transferred to the Red Cross in the town of Rimal in central Gaza but not before having to run the gauntlet of thousands of curious Gazans, who crowded around their cars and prevented them from reaching the Red Cross car until armed Hamas terrorists surrounded the car and allowed the hostages to dart into the car which took them to freedom.
When the three hostages arrived in Israel they received a warm welcome and embrace from soldiers who came to greet them and transfer them to their family members.
