Murphy made the startling revelation in a public taunt against the Trump administration, saying, “We are housing an illegal above our garage. Good luck to the Feds who will try to get her.”

Homan, known for his tough stance on immigration enforcement, didn’t take the challenge lightly.

“I got a note of it. I won’t let it go. We’ll look into it,” Homan declared. “If he’s knowingly harboring and concealing an illegal alien… we will seek prosecution.”

Federal law makes it a crime to knowingly harbor illegal immigrants, and Murphy’s brazen admission could put him in legal jeopardy. Under 8 U.S. Code § 1324, individuals who shelter illegal immigrants can face significant fines and even prison time.

The showdown highlights the growing battle between the Trump administration’s aggressive border policies and Democrat-led states that have pushed sanctuary laws and resisted federal immigration enforcement.

Whether the Justice Department will pursue action against Murphy remains to be seen, but Homan’s warning makes one thing clear: the Biden-era free pass on illegal immigration is over.
