In an interview with the progressive group Blue Wave New Jersey, Murphy explained that he and his wife, Tammy, offered a living space above their garage to an individual whose immigration status remains unresolved.
“We decided to help and have her stay at our house above the garage,” Murphy said, adding, “Let’s see the feds try to come and take her.”
This revelation comes amid increased immigration enforcement in New Jersey, including a recent raid by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Newark. Murphy’s office has since sought clarification from federal authorities regarding the raid, stressing the need for transparency and trust between law enforcement and the public.
Former Trump administration official Tom Homan has previously stated that knowingly sheltering an undocumented immigrant could violate federal law. ICE has yet to comment on Murphy’s remarks.
so hes a fugitive
Abominable, Governor Murphy is using this unidentified woman as a pawn for his political ambitions.
My political beliefs think that our nanny’s who have been INVITED to this country by the last administration should NOT be deported, still I believe that politics aside, a Governor should not be flaunting his violations of federal law even if he or she she doesn’t agree with it.
Dumb governor obey the laws
I hope that the Govt is focusing on violent – criminal – gang-related illegals. Deal with that first. Honest, hard-working people are not the issue – first, get rid of the criminals.
The undocumented woman above his garage is actually AOC’s Abuela.
Go gettem both! Deport them to Gaza!
