Luis Vaquero, of Passaic County, New Jersey, reportedly began his three-hour flight by mocking Jewish passengers and making disturbing threats against a disabled child. However, it was his conduct toward flight crew members that led to federal charges.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Vaquero became enraged when a flight attendant refused to serve him alcohol after the beverage service window closed, telling the attendant, “You better watch out, s—’s gonna happen to you.”
The flight crew, concerned by his behavior, requested law enforcement assistance upon arrival. Vaquero’s threats continued as the plane taxied to the gate. Authorities said Vaquero approached the flight deck door, banging on it and shouting at the captain. When the plane arrived at the gate, he reportedly continued to scream at the captain and flight attendants until law enforcement intervened.
Videos of the incident show Vaquero threatening the crew, including one where he yells at the flight deck and demands to see the captain. He is heard yelling expletives and threats, some of which were aimed at the flight crew.
Vaquero now faces charges of interfering with flight crew members, a federal offense that could result in up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The FBI has warned that such behavior will not be tolerated and that violators will be held accountable.
As of Tuesday morning, Vaquero was not listed in Federal Bureau of Prisons records.
If the airlines had any backbone, they would institute a mandatory lifetime ban against this individual. Such a ban would apply to all commercial airline companies in the USA, and not just the one that he perpetrated a disturbance on.
Should’ve just pushed him out the door 🙂
He obviously had a “get out of jail card” which he earned by making anti-Jew statements. I can not fathom any other reason he was not arrested.
What’s his immigration status?
And not one person on this plane stood up to this man.. shame on them all. Not one man among them.
Bunch of chickens beta males
What is the race of the suspect?
Deport him
the plane’s crew is there to ensure the safety of the people on the plane. disobeying their instructions, let alone assaulting them, puts everyone’s lives in danger, and should be punished severely. with no exceptions.
Which airline was this?
