EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEY (VINnews)-A special education and social studies teacher at Egg Harbor Township High School in New Jersey is under investigation by the Secret Service for allegedly making a threat against President Trump on social media.

According to reports, Fred Wilson posted a statement on Facebook suggesting that “assassination is at least a talking point.” The post was shared on the Libs of TikTok X account, which brought it to the attention of authorities.
The Secret Service has confirmed that they are aware of the incident and are taking the matter seriously. “The Secret Service takes all threats related to our protectees seriously,” they said in a statement.
Egg Harbor Township Schools Superintendent Kim Gruccio has also launched an investigation into the matter, saying that the district takes “comments about and suggestions of violence very seriously.” However, due to New Jersey privacy laws, Gruccio was unable to comment further on the matter.
Wilson has since deleted his Facebook account and did not respond to requests for comment.
