In the tweet, Silber asked, “@MTA does my morning commute need to feel like I’m walking into someone’s bedroom?” This comment underscores the discomfort commuters experience, especially when they encounter crowded trains or are forced to navigate areas overtaken by homeless individuals.

Silber’s post reflects growing concerns over the city’s inability to address the challenges of homelessness and its impact on public transportation. It also highlights frustrations over the lack of visible solutions to ensure a more pleasant and safe commuting experience for all passengers. The tweet has resonated with many New Yorkers, with some agreeing that the MTA should take immediate action to improve conditions.

Uhm, R’ Silber, you just noticed this now?!?! When you rub shoulders with lowlife Uber-Progressive-Democrat Politicians & Lawmakers to trade “votes” for endless “funding” for anything & everything, then what do you expect? It comes with a price-tag, hence the condition of our city. Stop voting, backing & instructing our communities to vote for Democrats at EVERY level of Govt. And spare me the usual rhetoric of, “But if we don’t work with or vote for them, then we will have nothing.” That argument is old & stale! These Reps all conveniently disappear & ignore us when we need them most. Sit out an election & hold back blocs of votes for once if necessary to get their attention! All these “officials care about are numbers & statistics. Stop selling us out for cheap. Yes, the Frum communities needs assistance in various areas such as Tuition, school programs & etc. Dare I say, there are other growing & flourishing Orthodox communities OUTSIDE of New York City (i.e. Nassau & Rockland) and other states that are establishing solid relationships with GOP, Independent & more Conservative-type-Democrats Representatives. Although not perfect, when you drive through these areas, there is a noticeable difference. Remember what Pirkei-Avos said about putting ones faith & trust in Government!

Of Course they’ll sleep in the subways. Where else should they sleep? Their shelters were given by Adams to illegal Migrants

Silber, when you support Democrats, you have to deal with their policies. You are a staunch supporter of whom ever the Democrat party candidate is, in every election. In english the saying is , eat crow. To bad on you. May the homeless come sleep in your house as well, together with the criminal illegals you so strongly support. As long as you are suffering and not us humans, it’s ok.

The other riders – and myself included – this is nothing new, just regular “normal” everyday life on the subway. Actually – its pretty good to what I normally see – at least here they have their stuff organized and have a sleeping bag. What you normally find is they are mentally incompetent, causing mass panic to everyone else on the train, with them and their stuff stinking the place up.

Concerning the mta, how about someone getting involved in getting refunds for money remaining on metro cards after they are no longer usable. I was told to call them but no one answers.
