Pure Evil: Bibas Children Confirmed Killed in Captivity; Shiri Still Missing

JERUSALEM – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officially confirmed Friday that four-year-old Ariel Bibas and ten-month-old Kfir Bibas were murdered by Hamas while in captivity in November 2023. The confirmation follows forensic identification of their remains by experts at the National Center of Forensic Medicine, in coordination with the Israel Police.

The Bibas children, along with their mother, Shiri Bibas, were kidnapped from their home in Kibbutz Nir Oz during Hamas’ attack on October 7. Their father, Yarden Bibas, was taken separately while attempting to defend them. Yarden was later released on February 1, 2025, as part of a hostage deal, but his wife and children remained in captivity.

In the latest hostage exchange, Hamas failed to return the body of Shiri Bibas as required, instead handing over the remains of an unidentified individual who was not among the known hostages. The IDF condemned this as a “severe violation of the agreement,” emphasizing that Hamas was obligated to return four fallen hostages.

Military officials reported that forensic examinations confirmed with absolute certainty that Ariel and Kfir were “brutally murdered in captivity” by Hamas. The identification process involved extensive forensic cross-referencing, with Ariel identified first, followed by Kfir. Intelligence findings corroborate the forensic evidence.

The IDF, in coordination with U.S. officials, has demanded that Hamas immediately return Shiri Bibas along with all remaining hostages. “This message is being conveyed directly to Hamas and will be publicly announced in English and Arabic,” the military stated.

The Bibas family’s tragic fate has drawn widespread condemnation, with global leaders and human rights organizations decrying the brutality of Hamas’ actions. The IDF reaffirmed its commitment to securing the release of all hostages, concluding: “We share in the deep grief of the Bibas family and remain fully committed to bringing every last hostage home.”
