WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews)-February 24, 2025, Washington, DC resident and healthcare professional Nyah Molineaux confronted Washington Post reporter Karen Attiah during an event at the Prose and Politics Bookstore. The event featured controversial author Peter Beinart, who was promoting his new book, Being Jewish After the Destruction of Gaza: A Reckoning, which has been criticized for its anti-Israel stance.

During the Q&A session, Molineaux directly addressed Attiah, accusing her of supporting Hamas due to a pro-Hamas tweet Attiah had shared on her X page (formerly known as Twitter). Specifically, Molineaux alleged that by retweeting the post, Attiah had condoned the violent acts of October 7, including the sexual violence perpetrated against Israeli women by Hamas fighters. As tensions escalated, Molineaux was escorted out of the bookstore but continued to accuse Attiah of being a “Jihadist.”
In a later interview with Alan Skorski, Molineaux explained the personal background that shaped her strong opposition to Hamas and Islamist extremism. She cited the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks as a turning point in her life, mentioning that her mother developed a debilitating health condition, which she believes was linked to the toxins near Ground Zero. Additionally, Molineaux referenced the actions of Boko Haram, a notorious Islamist terrorist group in Nigeria, and cited terrorist activity in her home country of Trinidad as further reasons for her firm stance against radical Islamic movements like Hamas.
Molineaux admitted that before October 7, she had little knowledge of Jewish people and their history. However, the more she learned about their struggles and the significance of the State of Israel, the more she felt a deep empathy for the Jewish nation and became a vocal supporter of Israel.
Skorski is extremely underrated. He illuminates many bellwether events that should be evaluated by a wider public, but would other go completely unnoticed.
Thank you Mr. Alan Skorski
