NEW YORK (VINnews) — Israeli officials expressed concern and anger at the pending appointment of a prominent anti-Israel figure to a sensitive, high-ranking position at the heart of the White House. The burning question is: How does this happen under the most pro-Israel administration in history? (And make no mistake — the Trump administration is indeed that).

The administration has reportedly made a decision to appoint Daniel Davis as Deputy Director of National Intelligence, a role that oversees the daily intelligence briefings presented to the President.
Who is Daniel Davis? Davis is known for his harsh anti-Israel views, with some even accusing him of anti-Semitism. He has a trail of controversial statements and tweets, including one where he wrote:
“Where is our moral outrage at the Israeli government, which continues to kill children and other civilians without remorse or military necessity? Where’s even a drop of concern for Christians (emphasis in the original) who are also being killed in Gaza and the West Bank?”
To Senator Ted Cruz, one of Israel’s strongest supporters in Washington, Davis once wrote:
“We all know the truth — you want to suppress any protests aimed at Netanyahu’s government policies.”
This is just a partial list of his remarks. The big question remains: How does a figure like this rise to such a position in the most pro-Israel administration the U.S. has ever seen, led by the most pro-Israel president to sit in the White House?
It’s worth noting not only the administration’s unwavering support for Israel — particularly in relation to Gaza — but also its unprecedented efforts to combat anti-Semitism in the U.S., especially on college campuses.
How Did This Happen?
While President Trump is undeniably pro-Israel, he leads a broad and diverse political coalition that includes a Libertarian wing. This faction advocates for American isolationism and includes strong anti-Israel elements. Though secondary to the pro-Israel neo-conservative wing, it still wields influence.
As a result, most senior appointments in the administration are pro-Israel, but Sergio Gor, Director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office, comes from the isolationist faction. He is reportedly trying to push through anti-Israel appointments.
Gor, a former advisor to Senator Rand Paul, is close to Charles Koch — a multi-billionaire from Wichita, Kansas, who supports Trump and heavily funds the Libertarian-isolationist wing of the Republican Party.
It’s likely that the President is unaware of Davis’s views, despite his being slated to prepare and deliver Trump’s daily intelligence briefings — a critical and trusted role.
Currently, an internal battle is underway within Trump’s camp to block the appointment, but it seems nearly inevitable at this point.
He was rejected for the position already. Calm down.
He looks like he’s just one more french fry away from ….
Whose reporting he’s an anty semite? The ap?
Proves the point again, US is ruled by a jni-party & Trump is losing control.

VIN I think the answer is pretty obvious.
Aren’t you embarrassed to write such a line.
I agree with him Israel and us Jews have to have more remorse when Palestinian children are killed, this blanket view in our community that they all voted for hamas and everyone deserves to die is not the torah way, I have spoken to rabanim who agree, this is not amalek, and yes I do think its good for the world to hear more remorse from Israel and Jews when Palestinian women children are killed, lets be honest majority are just in the wrong place at wrong time and have no power against hamas. I understand war is war but what have we become as yidden? that we feel every Palestinian deserves to be killed? NOT PASHUT in my view
The guy is pretty decent actually. Listen to full interviews with him. Anyways, it’s about time we got some American First people in the White House. Let Israel fend for itself.
