Lev Tahor Members Demonstrate As Courts To Determine Fate Of 139 Children

NEW YORK (VINnews) — Lev Tahor members have stepped up their protests over the removal of 139 children from their cult. In recent days members of the cult blocked roads, demonstrated outside the facility where the children are being kept and demanded that they be returned to their families.

At a recent event, Julio Saavedra, the head of the PGN, the government office responsible for adoptions, announced that from Wednesday the hearings in the Lev Tahor case will begin.Saavedra  referred to the presentation of three important pieces of evidence and expert reports that will strengthen the investigations into the case so that the judges can issue a ruling in favor of the children’s adoption by foster families.

The Lev Tahor members are concerned that the children will be transferred to other countries for their safety. Tens of requests for guardianship over the children have been submitted in Israel.
