BROOKLYN – New York City Mayor Eric Adams, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, and NYPD Chief Ritchy Taylor on Tuesday, visited the Hatzolah headquarters in Williamsburg to show their ongoing support for the emergency medical service organization. The leaders were greeted warmly by community members and activists, underscoring the strong partnership between Hatzolah and the city’s leadership.

During the visit, Commissioner Tisch was honored with a plaque as a gesture of appreciation for her commitment to Hatzolah and the Williamsburg community. The presentation reflected the crucial role the organization plays in supporting the city’s emergency response efforts, with a special focus on the collaboration between law enforcement and community-based groups.
Key figures in attendance included, Fred Kreizman NYC commissioner of the Community Affairs Unit, Rabbi David Niederman from the United Jewish Organizations (UJO), Rabbi Abe Friedman, a community activist and law enforcement chaplain, Yanky Itzkowitz, Shomrim Williamsburg Coordinator, and Yankee Eisdorfer from the Brooklyn Borough President’s office. Shaya Bernath, the Williamsburg Hatzolah Coordinator, also participated in the event, with all in attendance acknowledging the continuous efforts of the NYPD and city leaders in supporting the volunteers and the Williamsburg community.
