IDF Eliminates Terrorist Who Directed Abduction And Murder Of Bibas Family Members

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — The IDF and Shin Bet conducted on Friday a targeted strike in northern Gaza, eliminating Mohammad Hassan Mohammad Awad, a commander in the military intelligence wing closely linked to senior operatives of the “Mujahideen Brigades” terror organization in Gaza.

Awad was identified as one of the leaders of the October 7 massacre, having personally infiltrated the Nir Oz kibbutz multiple times during Simchat Torah. He was allegedly involved in the kidnapping and brutal murder of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas, may their memories be a blessing, as well as playing a role in the abduction and burial of Hagai and Judy Weinstein and the kidnapping of Thai nationals.

In his role within the terror organization, Awad was also actively involved in recruiting terrorists in the West Bank and inside Israel, using them to plan and carry out attacks against Israeli targets.

Both the Mujahideen brigades and Awad personally were involved in orchestrating attacks on Israel and IDF forces operating in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli defense establishment released a statement saying:
“Shin Bet and the IDF will continue to operate resolutely to identify and neutralize all terrorists from the various terror organizations who took part in the murderous massacre on October 7.”
