LAKEWOOD, N.J. (VINnews) — In a scene reminiscent of a Hollywood thriller, a group of skilled thieves broke into a Lakewood warehouse, making off with an estimated $4 million in electronics after cutting through the roof and disabling the building’s security systems.

The heist targeted CloseoutNJ, a wholesale electronics business located in Lakewood, New Jersey. According to police, the burglars cut a hole in the roof of the warehouse, used a ladder to descend inside, and deployed cellphone signal jammers to disrupt communications before ransacking the facility.
The robbery occurred during Shabbos, when CEO Yaakov Jacobs and many of his employees were not present. Jacobs said the loss is devastating and could threaten the future of the business.
“We might have to shut down, you know? That’s where we are at because of this,” Jacobs told reporters. “We are looking at probably about $4 million of our costs in that neighborhood.”
The thieves focused primarily on high-value Apple products, including Apple Watches, iPads, MacBooks, displays, Mac Minis and other laptops, Jacobs said.
Police said the suspects disabled the building’s security systems, cut wires, smashed monitors and destroyed hard drives. Authorities believe the group may be tied to a previous burglary at the same location. The suspects in that earlier case were arrested but later released.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Nebach. May Hashem help them recoup their losses and rebuild their Parnassah.
The suspects in that earlier case were arrested but later released.:- This is exactly the root cause of the issue. Because an exceedingly left wing rogue wicked [so called] judge released them.
There is no insurance?
Any respectable business has full insurance.
Contents insurance in very costly. I’m sure they have insurance but cannot imagine they have enough to cover the complete loss.
I know people who installed interior barbed wire below the roof (whether legally or not) after roof entry robbery in their home.
Find them and give them malkus the full 39 for each robber.
I don’t know how to do it, but if someone starts a Go Fund Me page, I would contribute, BN. And I hope that others would as well. This sounds like a devastating story, but we know that the Manhig Olam has a plan that we sometimes don’t understand…perhaps it is to sensitize all of us to take care of one another in times of need.
Its gotto be an inside job.
For several years there have been numerous robberies in the five towns
The most sufisicated alarms have been by passed . It was assumed these were committed by Venezuelans that are on the way back before even reported
Bless Biden and our socialists courts
Inside job from a worker
seems like they knew what they were doing. seems like an inside job. check the various employees, probably one or more were in on the take.
Why wasn’t the motion alarm triggered?
I don’t understand the people asking about insurance. Even if they have it would probably take weeks (maybe longer) to come through. He obviously needs the cash flow now!
What ever we say is like licking the barn after the cow escaped
This us terrible for the owners and recovering is difficult I wish them well
But wasn’t the ceiling wired just for that eventuality.
