Lehman ended a 42-game skid with a 7–6 extra-inning win over Yeshiva in the opener. The victory marked the Lightning’s first since the 2022 season.

The eight-inning heartbreaker also marked Yeshiva’s 100th consecutive loss — the longest active losing streak in college baseball at any level.

But the Maccabees bounced back in the nightcap, defeating Lehman 9–5 and securing their first win since the 2021 season, bringing an end to nearly four years of futility.

Both programs celebrated long-awaited victories that brought relief and renewed hope to players and coaches alike.

Reminds me of the days of old playing “Chumash Baseball” in the Shul basement.
Munching on stale Kikel & drinking opened a year ago, warm, flat, generic cola. Good times!

They probably paid the league to arrange they play against each other. Then they made a deal to split the games.

Reggie Jackson is overrated and doesn’t belong in the Hall of Fame. For his being a leader in Strikeouts, he belongs in the Hall of Shame.

To all of the critics:

You are upset because a group of Shomer Torah and Mitzvot college-age boys are playing baseball in their spare time?

You think that every 18 and 19 year old kid needs to be in Beis Medrash 24/7?

Stop the stupidity.
