CHICAGO – On Wednesday, viral food creator and motivational figure Chris CaresNone, or better known as the Babka King, responded publicly to a wave of antisemitic attacks he says he’s faced simply for celebrating Jewish cuisine.

“I’m not here to feed conflict — I’m here to feed connection,” he wrote in a heartfelt message shared with his followers. “And here’s the truth from my actual lived experience: I’ve made content showing love to so many cultures — Mexican, Polish, Filipino, Palestinian, Black, White, Honduran, Jewish, etc. And the only time I consistently get real hate is when I show love to Jewish people.”

Campbell, whose real name is Chris Campbell, said the hate has taken a disturbing turn. “I have received ☠️ threats only when I showed love to the Jewish culture. Over food, mind you…”

Despite the hate, the Chicago-area creator emphasized the warmth and generosity he’s received from Jewish fans and businesses.

“They’ve sent me products, flown me out, paid me, supported me in my inbox, and shown me love. When someone shows love — I show love back. It’s called the law of reciprocity.”

Campbell, who was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia in 2020, added that while all cultures have embraced him, “the Jewish culture REALLY embraced me.”

He also addressed those who criticize him for associating with Jews or showcasing their traditions.

“It’s wild how some people get mad at that. Like I’m not supposed to work with people who treat me well? That’s asinine from my worldview.”

Campbell stressed that his content is not about politics, but about people. “You don’t have to agree with everything someone’s country or government does — hell, I don’t even agree with everything my own country does. But that doesn’t mean I turn my back on human beings.”

He made clear he’s not backing down. “So yeah, I’m going to keep doing Jewish content. And all cultures, for that matter. I’m going to keep showing love to whoever shows love to me. That’s the pendulum I choose to surf on.”

While acknowledging that the vast majority of feedback is supportive — “99% of the comments I get are pure love” — Campbell directed his final message at the vocal minority fueling the hate.

“This message is for that 1% who can’t stand to see a Black man showing love to Jewish people. I see you. But I don’t live in your energy.”

He signed off, as always, with one word: “CARESNONE.”

There was an open door showing for my apartment to rent, a black couple came in and visited the rooms while I was in the kitchen. I could hear how they loved the apartment, but when they saw me with my Jewish appearance I could tell the hatred in the husband’s eyes, my gosh, I never experienced this till last week, and they quickly left. I began to believe that there is a real racism problem by many from the black community against Jews…

I immensely enjoyed watching that tour clip. His pure food enjoyment comes across the screen, got me excited over how much he enjoyed biting into something tasty in Ave J and BP hoods. The gingy chasidishe fellow who somehow kept popping up everywhere was also very entertaining to observe.
