ROCKLAND COUNTY – A 11-year-old girl who was struck by a vehicle on March 17 while riding her bicycle in Monsey, New York, has tragically passed away from her injuries.

Roiza Fradel Lefkowitz had been in critical condition since the incident, which occurred around 9 p.m. on Ronald Drive. Despite the efforts of medical staff at Westchester Medical Center, she succumbed to her injuries on Shabbos.
Roiza was immediately treated at the scene of the accident before being rushed to the hospital.
This incident is another reminder of the ongoing concerns surrounding child safety on the roads in Ramapo, where multiple accidents involving young pedestrians have occurred in recent months.
DRIVE THE SPEED LIMIT!!! Driving the speed limit has become a thing of the past. If I drive 30 I get honked, flashed, and passed ILLEGALLY!!! Same if I stop at a cross walk, of it one makes a full stop at a stop sign, etc.. Obey traffic laws!!!

Hmm. Jamming in housing one on top of the other with way more people/families than is normal, with lots more motor vehicles in very congested areas, on top of aggressive drivers and careless ones, contributes greatly to all of these tragedies. Start with that first maybe?
