Taking place June 11th at Cipriani Wall Street, the event will be chaired by Dr. Miriam Adelson. Those in attendance will have an opportunity to hear from United States Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, the gala’s special guest speaker and lead honoree, who has emerged as a key figure in the battle to save Israeli lives on multiple fronts.
“Steve has been working very hard on the hostage release, and is leading the fight to prevent Iran from constructing a nuclear facility,” United Hatzalah founder Eli Beer told VIN News.
Beer noted that while Jews worldwide were sitting down to their Seder on the first night of Pesach, Witkoff was in the midst of complex negotiations that could have lifesaving ramifications for Israel.

“As we were saying Vehi She’amda, recalling how in every generation there is someone trying to kill the Jews, Steve was with the Iranians, speaking with them on behalf of the government, on behalf of President Trump, trying to prevent a war,” said Beer.
Beer is grateful to Witfkoff for agreeing to attend United Hatzalah’s New York gala.
“The fact that he is willing to take precious time off to be with us gives us tremendous chizuk,” said Beer.
Also being honored is Witkoff’s son, Alex, for his efforts as a young leader. Alex Witkoff has stepped up to lead the family’s real estate business, giving his father the ability to travel the globe as he advocates for Israel, and deals with the ongoing crises involving Russia, Hamas, and Iran.
United Hatzalah has expanded far beyond anything Beer could have ever imagined since he first launched the organization in 2006, and it now has more than 8,000 active members. While United Hatzalah typically answers 2,000 calls on an average day, its volunteers treated 12,500 patients treated on October 7th, and with its member rushing into the war zone on that horrific day, its heroic efforts have been widely acclaimed.
In addition to its legendary 90 second response time, United Hatzalah continues to innovate, and it has significantly expanded its scope of operations to include both medical treatment and mental health care, meeting a growing need triggered by the terror attacks.
“We were the first ones to connect mental and physical health in one organization,” explained Beer. “When United Hatzalah dispatch gets a call, we actually estimate what the situation is and what they might need, both physically and emotionally. We want to make sure that no one is left behind, whether they need medical care, or mental health care.”
