JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a warning to the Houthi rebels in Yemen and to their sponsor Iran, stating that Israel “must be capable of defending itself on its own against any threat or enemy.”

The remarks come a day after the Houthis said that the truce reached with the United States would not prevent them from continuing to attack Israel.

“The Houthis will absorb heavy blows from Israel if they continue firing toward us. The IDF is prepared for any mission,” Katz says in a statement.

“I also warn the Iranian leadership which funds, arms and operates the Houthi terror organization: The proxy method is over and the axis of evil has collapsed. You bear direct responsibility. What we did to Hezbollah in Beirut, Hamas in Gaza, to Assad in Damascus and the Houthis in Yemen, will also be done to you in Tehran.”

“We will not allow any element to harm Israel,” he added.

On Monday, Israel responded to the Houthi missile attack on Ben Gurion airport with an extensive bombing attack on San’aa airport, causing an estimated 500 million dollars in damage and effectively putting the airport out of service.

“We?” Do you serve in the IDF? Or are you an Arm Chair General?
And by the way…..it is the “non Torah” Jews who do most of the fighting. It is not right to denigrate people who you feel are “non observant.”

Talk is the least expensive (and ineffective) method of creating the illusion of defense. The reality is that unless the threat from Iran is actually, physically eliminated, the terror regime will only grow in its desire and ability to harm Israel. We have kicked this can down the road too far. We are running out of road. It’s high time we eliminate our enemies. That being said, Israel has become a sanctuary for too many non-Torah observant Jews. There is too much influence of the erev rav on the county as a whole. It’s high time we start saving those who can understand that there will be a day of reckoning for all of us, and the ones who refuse to see should be given incentives and the wherewithal to leave to another western country. All of us frum hidden have an achrais to reach out to our brethren to help them come to serve Hashem.
