Wieder called the measure “a hoax” and said it unfairly targets successful private schools. He defended what he described as educational freedom and vowed not to remain silent on the issue.

“This is not about improving education — it’s about control,” Wieder said. “Thriving private schools should not be punished for their success.”

Kol hakavod to Mr. Wieder for his pushback against the outrageous malevolent campaign on the part of NYSED to interfere in our incredible Yeshiva system (s) and our childrens’ chinuch. Truth is, there is huge amount of jealousy and hate against us, as they see the results of our yeshivas and private girls’ schools. What ccmes out of their education? – criminals, threats to society , perverts, every kind of immorality and dysfunction, ad nauseum. Only a small percentage rise above this to become decent citizens. With Hashem’s help, our battle against these enemies will prevail and in the end, they will go down in defeat. The chinuch of our children is not negotiable .

The State Education Department had one goal to educate our children in the three R’s. R-evolution against Hashem. Rights: especially nevala rights. Reproduction: learning about the birds and the bees and how to kill the the newborn bird and bees. This fight had zero to with real education it had 100% to do with hatred of religion especially Torah education

As a parent, I am genuinely uncertain about the best way to address this issue. But I’ll say the following: After having a conversation with Naftali Moster, here’s what I’ve noticed: at the core, his main objective seems to be assimilation. There’s a sense that he resents, or is at least uncomfortable with, his Jewish identity. This frustration appears to be a driving force behind many of his actions and statements.

That said, I want to be fair. It’s possible that he isn’t fully aware of this motivation himself. He doesn’t strike me as particularly self-reflective, so he might not consciously recognize the extent to which these feelings shape his views and decisions.

If you think you can take money from the government, and then expect them not to interfere with your school…..You are delusional. In Eretz Yisroel, schools that don’t want to be dictated by the government don’t take any money from the state. It really isn’t complicated.

Whenver there is a dsicusion about this, it boils down to the kefira and anti torah that NYS board of regents imposes in their circulum. However noone has yet to expalin why the yeshivas don’t have their own secular education instead? Teach some financial and tech literacy. Some biology etc. Whats wrong? And let me tell you 95% of 15 year olds cannot learn gemra all day. They just do not have the “zitsfleish”. So they just waste half of the day and become liedigers. And so I repeat its not bitul torah . Why won’t schools educate their students? what else are they doing anyhow? We mamesh became a cult. its sad.

I think we need to stop pretending that we don’t have some amazing schools and some awful schools in our community. Seriously. We have schools that should be the model for education everywhere, with students graduating with a well rounded education in limudei kodesh and limudei chol, plus scoring much higher than the average public school on standardized testing. And then we have the ones that are just… not. We don’t need to be substantially equivalent to public school. But we should make all of our schools perform like the best of ours (except the special ed schools, that’s just unrealistic).

These arguments might have more currency if there were not a notable number of Yeshivas that are abysmal…and parents PAY for that lousy education. Rather than attack the state for wanting to improve standards, maybe the yeshivas should concentrate on hiring competent teachers at a good salary to provide proper instruction. The students fail because the teachers are lousy, some of whom don’t speak English themselves! Rather than try to compare yeshivas to public schools we, who pay for them, should insist they be compared to some of quality goyishe schools where the nuns are quick with the ruler and test scores something to be proud of.

How DARE the vile state legislation control freaks try to control Chasidic education system?! And the same time, take our property taxes to fund their failing public school system that will not even allow the mention of G-d or morality! This is epitome of “Hutzpa”.

The ease with which frum people lie is such a Chillul Hashem. While we may not want to admit it online, we all know exactly what’s happening in our Chassidishah boys schools.
