JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Preparations are underway in Israel for the expected release on Monday of US-Israeli hostage Idan Alexander, following an agreement between the United States and Hamas. Israel was not privy to the agreement and was not informed what Hamas are receiving in return from the US for the release.

According to a report by the Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat, the release is expected to take place as early as Monday afternoon.
This morning, the Prime Minister’s office clarified that the fire will continue in Gaza. “The expected release of IDF soldier Idan Alexander without any compensation will be possible due to the aggressive policy we have led with the support of President Trump, and thanks to the military pressure from IDF soldiers in the Gaza Strip,” the office stated.
According to the statement: “Israel has not committed to any ceasefire or to the release of prisoners, but only to a safe corridor that will allow for Idan’s release. We are in critical days where Hamas is faced with a deal that would allow for the release of our hostages. Negotiations will continue under fire and while preparations are made to intensify the fighting.”
Alexander is set to be released without a ceremony as in previous hostage releases, and will be transferred to the Red Cross who will then convey him to Israel. It is possible that Alexander will be flown to Qatar for a meeting with President Trump but this depends on his condition on release after 584 days in captivity.
A senior Hamas official referred to the agreement and told AP that the mediators suggested to them to give a gift to Trump with the assurance that the U.S. President would in return give them a larger gift. Israel does not as yet know what this ‘larger gift’ refers to but insists that it will not allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza in return for Alexander’s release.
Idan’s family made their way to Israel from the United States last night. Trump’s envoy for hostage affairs, Adam Bohler, published a photo on X, where he is seen alongside the family members on the flight. “It is an honor for me to travel with Yael, Idan’s mother, on her way to reunite with her son from Hamas,” he wrote. “Thank you, President Trump, for your commitment to bring all Americans home.”
To be clear, the only reason why he’s being released is so that American politicians will no longer be able to say that Hamas is holding Americans hostage, which will result in even more loss of American support for Israel in this war. Israel has been fighting this war like fools. It’s time to finally act like they want to defeat Hamas and take the necessary steps to protect our chayalim and defeat our enemies. SECURITY, NOT PEACE.
what pressure will Trump put on Israel for this one hostage held by MURDERERS?
HOPEFULLY ALL THE OTHERS WILL BE RELEASED SOON…………………IY”H
