NEW YORK – Jeff Bezos caused a stir in Manhattan after closing part of Fifth Avenue to hoist a massive piece of furniture into his $119 million penthouse at 212 Fifth Ave.

A viral TikTok video shows a crane lifting the wrapped item to the top floors of the 24-story NoMad building, as workers, barricades, and moving trucks filled the intersection at 26th Street.

The Amazon founder, worth $223 billion, owns five units in the luxury building. Some speculated the delivery was a hot tub or grand piano. Large crane moves like this can cost over $20,000 a day and require city permits.

“Amazon Prime, billionaire edition,” one viewer joked.

I don’t envy anyone rich. Happy if they’re happy but that’s not a good quality life. Nothing beats the sun, people, and the outdoors. Nothing.
