On Monday, immediately upon landing in Israel as part of his second official visit since taking office, Argentine President Mr. Javier Milei arrived for a prayer at the Western Wall, . Similar to his previous visit, the president chose to begin his official trip in Israel at the Western Wall – the spiritual heart of the Jewish people.

Accompanying the president was a high-level delegation from Argentina, including Foreign Minister Mr. Gerardo Werthein, Presidential Secretary Ms. Karina Milei, Argentina’s Ambassador to Israel Rabbi Shimon Axel Wahnish, and his wife.
The president was welcomed by the Rabbi of the Western Wall and holy sites, Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, and the CEO of the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, Mr. Mordechai (Soli) Eliav. The two warmly greeted the president, praised his unwavering support for the Jewish people and the State of Israel, and expressed deep appreciation for his strong ties with the Jewish community and Israel.
During the visit, the president was visibly emotional. Sporting a yarmulka with his name embossed on it, Milei recited a chapter of Psalms together with the rabbi, and offered a special prayer for the safe return of the hostages to their families.
As he did during his previous trip, the president is expected to return to the Western Wall on Thursday evening, at the conclusion of his visit, to close his official stay in Israel in a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

At the end of his visit, President Milei offered a personal prayer, and wrote in the visitors’ book in transliterated Hebrew- Cherut Letzion- “Freedom for Zion.”
