“There has been no attempt to influence Haredi Knesset members regarding a decision to dissolve the government,” Huckabee stated. While acknowledging that he was asked about the US perspective on a collapsed government, he clarified that many Americans would likely view such a scenario as unstable due to existing security threats, including the war, Houthi missile attacks, and concerns about Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

He further asserted that the US remains committed to working with whichever government Israelis elect, dismissing reports suggesting he had advised Israeli politicians on their internal affairs. Huckabee also referenced King Solomon, implying that the current debate over military exemptions could benefit from wisdom and compromise.
His remarks were issued in response to a Channel 13 news report, which claimed that Huckabee had warned senior Haredi politicians that government stability is critical for addressing Iran-related concerns and urged them against early elections. The report also alleged that Huckabee met with Minister Meir Porush of the United Torah Judaism party last Thursday, encouraging him “not to break up the government”.
Huckabee rejected these claims as misleading or inaccurate, emphasizing that his role is to support Israel’s democratic process rather than intervene in its political matters.
