IDF Confirms That Natanz Site Rendered ‘Completely Inoperable’ By Israeli Attack

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — In the past hour, security sources have confirmed that the Israeli strike in Iran successfully disabled one of the Islamic Republic’s most sensitive and heavily secured facilities – the uranium enrichment site in Natanz. According to the sources, the facility has been rendered “completely inoperable” following a precise direct hit to its core underground infrastructure.

The Natanz facility has long been considered the heart of Iran’s nuclear program. It houses 52,000 centrifuges including numerous advanced centrifuges used to enrich uranium to various levels – including levels potentially usable for military purposes. Previous strikes attributed to Israel had damaged parts of the site’s underground power systems, but this time – according to assessments – the damage is unprecedented, striking at the depth of the facility and its ability to recover quickly.

A senior Israeli official commented today (Friday) on the implications of the strike:

“The centrifuges were active during the strike – they were spinning, and Iran was in the middle of the enrichment process. That’s why the damage is doubled, perhaps even worse. The Iranians not only lost the equipment, they also lost the material and the process itself.”

According to foreign sources, the strike was carried out using a combination of precision munitions launched from fighter jets and long-range missiles, and possibly with electronic warfare tools aimed at disrupting the site’s alert and defense systems. Explosions were reportedly heard in nearby cities, and Iran has indirectly acknowledged that the strike caused significant damage to its nuclear infrastructure.

If confirmed to be a complete destruction of the Natanz facility, this would be considered one of the most severe blows to Iran’s nuclear program in over a decade – perhaps the most impactful since the Stuxnet cyberattack or the assassination of top nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

While Israel’s security establishment continues to maintain partial silence, they emphasized that “every action is assessed according to the real threat.” Another source stated:

“When enrichment is active – it’s no longer just about facilities, it’s about decision-making. And the response – is accordingly.”

What about all the hidden underground facilities we’ve heard about over the years? Let’s hope everything gets destroyed. Finally seems like they’re hitting more than empty ports and warehouses.
